START YOUR FAMILY’S NEXT ADVENTURE
WHO CAN JOIN
Pack 305 welcomes boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. Scouts meet in grade-level dens: Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos, and Arrow of Light.
COME VISIT FIRST
Come to a pack meeting before you commit. There is no cost to visit, and uniforms are not required. Pack meetings are typically held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the McGarvey Elementary multipurpose room. Dens meet about once a month on schedules set by each den.
HOW TO JOIN
1. Visit a pack meeting and meet the leaders.
2. Register through Scouting America online or with a paper application from a leader.
3. Join Spond, the free app we use for announcements, RSVPs, and reminders. Tap “Join a group” and enter code BZITR, or visit https://spond.com/invite/BZITR.
4. Your den leader will reach out with the den meeting schedule.
5. Pay annual pack dues and sort out the uniform—with the uniform swap offered first.
WHAT IT COSTS
• $165 per youth, per year — Scouting America and Golden Empire Council enrollment
• $125 per registered adult leader, per year — Scouting America and council enrollment
• $35 per Scout, per year — Pack 305 dues for meetings, awards, supplies, camping, and facility costs
• Some activities have separate fees — the 2026 family campout, for example, was $10 per person
National and council enrollment renews on each member’s registration anniversary. Pack dues are collected separately.
Financial help is available. If cost is a concern, speak privately with a leader and we will work with you. Payment instructions are shared privately with current families.
UNIFORMS
Please wait until after your first meeting before buying uniform items—the pack runs a uniform swap. We require the Cub Scout shirt (Lions wear a T-shirt), neckerchief and slide, belt and buckle, and handbook. A hat is recommended but not required.
A FAMILY PROGRAM
A parent or guardian attends with their Scout. Families help at events and through Spond sign-ups. Interested in leading? Den leaders work from ready-to-use handbook lessons; the usual rhythm is one den meeting and one pack meeting each month.
